This morning we had a slightly later start and were not on the road until 8.
Early on we had a lovely close encounter with an elephant. It stayed just beside the car eating for ages.
This morning we also saw our first jackal of the trip.
Instead of eating our lunch at one of the picnic sites today, Alladin parked up under a tree where we had a great view of elephants in the river bed. It was a brilliant spot for lunch
This afternoon gave us lots more entertainment including ostriches having a dust bath and a warthog wallowing in the mud.
Late afternoon we returned to camp to do our packing before dinner. This was our last full day in Tarangire as tomorrow we were moving to Lake Natron.
Tarangire had been great with loads of good game viewing. We were sorry to leave but excited for the next part of our trip.
