This morning we got up at 6.15. Breakfast was good with a good hot and cold buffet and a chef cooking eggs for anyone who wanted them.
Mid morning we drove down to Silale Swamp as one of my hopes this trip was to see elephants in the water. We watched several groups walk down to the swamp, walk along the edge and then some entered the water and swam across. We stayed for quite a while with very few other vehicles around. A great morning for me.
This afternoon we saw huge python. This was a first for us. It was quite difficult to get a photo of its head but Pete eventually managed it.
As you can see I have included some of our favourite bird photos but will do a separate blog just dedicated to birds where we will hopefully name them all.
We returned to camp in time for a drink and shower before dinner.
